Glad to find you guys!
My favorite thing to do in fall is take nature strolls with my preschooler. We come home with lots of goodies for her science area.

I'm often inspired by vintage children's literature. The colors, styles, and fashions are often amazing and so artistic.

I'm inspired by my children. I often let them pick out colors or patterns and it's eye-opening to see the world from their perspective.

Hi Katherine, I read this blog and a few others from home school families. I am truly inspired by ideas that are shared on the blogs as well as in "the village". I love to connect and chat with some amazing woman here in the North Okanagan who have so much knowledge and freely share it with me as well as the world. My kids are another thing that inspires me. Thank you for sharing all you do.

Hi Katherine! Thanks for popping by my blog. So nice to hear from bloggers on the other side of the globe. My inspiration at the moment is mostly my little daughter and reading other craft blogs.

I am inspired by what I read on this blog site. I have learned ways to leave a smaller footprint on this planet and be more aware of how I contribute to my environment. I am inspired by the creativity that you guys exhibit and all of the great recipes.

Hi Katherine: My morning hike in the woods with my little dog inspires me. It is a reminder of what an incredibly beautiful place we live in. It doesn't matter what else is happening in my life that hour of peace, quiet and reflection charge me up for a great day!

Three random inspirational tidbits . . .
--the house late at night, kids sleeping. quiet, calm, so much seems possible and tomorrow seems quite close.
--farmers markets. no matter the city or season, when I'm at the farmers market, I feel I'm in the right place.
--packages in the mail. I get giddy joy from good old fashioned packages from friends. the possibilities, the suspense, the fun of ripping them open.

What inspires me?

My children and the way they see the world.

The moon shining in all her glory in the dark night sky.

My husband and his uncanny ability to fix almost anything under the sun.

Our puppy... and his unconditional love of us.

These are the things that inspire me.

Not sure what happened to the comments I left yesterday, but I'll give it another go...
I'm VERY inspired by all of your posts, Katherine. Your aura is very similar to my mum's and she was an amazing seamstress too. Sometimes I want to just step through the computer screen and get caught up in your creative energy the way I did with hers... I've always thought that people who've passed over to the other side should be allowed to at least email us and have blogs. he he he
I love the way you put your thrifting treasures together into such incredible masterpieces. Thanks for sharing your ideas on here!
I'm always inspired by crafty blogs, crafty people, people who live their lives simply but fully. Like you do! I love my library of interiors, gardening, crafting and landscape books. Whenever I need inspiration I pull one out and it charges me up in no time. Thanks for the fun contest! I look forward to seeing you sooooooooooon!

Oh wow, what inspires me? AS far as craft is concerned, probably other people's craft! And fabric, yes, definitely fabric. I love colour and print and pattern, have been adding to my stash at a rapid rate, and have a to-do list as long as your arm!

I am inspired by all the wonderful blogs written by everyday women.

Hi Katherine,

Lara at Thornberry said this blog was worth a look and I'm glad I stopped by!
I'm inspired by colour and texture of fabric, sometimes a piece of fabric will leap out at me and demand to be made into something!
Also the wonderful world of talented crafters out in blogland who make me realise it is possible to find time to sew with 18 month-old twins - it just means sacrificing a little sleep, and being organised.

What a great blog! Thank you for your comments on mine, I may never have found you otherwise!
My grandmother inspires me, she has been ill for most of her life and each day is a battle but she survives and carries on regardless. On a crafty note, so much inspires me - but mostly my children and my daughter's drawings. I wish my imagination was just a tiny bit as full and rich as hers.

nature inspires me, cheesy but true. The colors and shapes and light in nature draws my eye and makes me think. :)

Other artists inspire me as well. Especially smaller, work at home types who have to really strive to get out there. I love an underdog. :)
Thanks for the contest!

hello, from one 'rutlander' to another!. we have only lived in this area for a year but am loving it in this part of the uk. i am actually originally from near liverpool (beatles country, as in the band, not the bug!)

what inspires me?, my kids mainly, especially when they have been a right pain in the backside and i need to escape!, but i also love the fact that i am making potential family heirlooms, love the fact that one day they might pass things on as little keepsakes.
