The best classroom in the world

A tree! Yes, this is today's "classroom" - the maple tree in our front yard. When I took these photos, I was thinking of Heather's last post and her picture of her boys on a rug in the sunshine. Here are K and S doing their thing - K found a very comfortable branch on which to relax and read to his brother!

Isn't that funny, E was doing the same thing last week. He got up in one of our Hazelnut trees and then asked W to bring him a book and an apple, and he hung up there reading until his arm was too sore to hold on anymore. He was most impressed that he had "tree service" from his brother - we had just been reading The Mouse and the Motorcycle and he liked the idea of room service.
Monkeys they are!!!

That's funny! I didn't even notice them in the first picture until I read the post and scrolled down... they fit right in. What a great classroom!

I LOVE this. i love the way they've found branches that fit "just right".
