A Prayer in Spring

Keeping with the theme of the last couple of posts, I've included pictures of some of the flowers I'm enjoying in our yard along with a wallhanging I just finished and a poem by Robert Frost.
A Prayer in Spring
Oh, give us pleasure in the flowers today;
And give us not to think so far away
As the uncertain harvest; keep us here
All simply in the springing of the year.
Oh, give us pleasure in the orchard white,
Like nothing else by day, like ghosts by night;
And make us happy in the happy bees,
The swarm dilating round the perfect trees.
And make us happy in the darting bird
That suddenly above the bees is heard,
The meteor that thrusts in with needle bill,
And off a blossom in mid-air stands still.
For this is love and nothing else is love,
The which it is reserved for God above
To sanctify to what far ends He will,
But which it only needs that we fulfill.
~Robert Frost

Oh my, I need one of those! I was just thinking that I should make something to put up on my pantry door because I took down the Fall one that Nicola made for me. Hmmmm, what am I wasting my time making more grocery bags for...I need to try to make one of those. That is so pretty, good thing for using up all your little bits of fabric too. (guess you must need to make another trip to the thrift store by now, heh?)

Oh, I love that Katherine! It is so beautiful!! I want to see it in person though - now that I am getting projects finished, I'm not afraid to be on the look out for new future projects:o)

Thanks for your compliments, ladies. My guys don't quite understand why I would make something like this. ;o) Besides the fact I had fun playing with a variety of spring coloured fabrics, the quote captures the delight I feel in spring when the earth is busy blooming.
Yes, Nicola, I thought the poem fitting to tie in with your post. I guess we were on a similar wavelength today ;o) Serendipity?

I just realized I could click on the picture and make it huge so I can really appreciate the details. I see you've used some of those yoyos!
