Vegan Pal swap

The Vegan Pal 2/Magic Yarn Ball swap is having a contest for those doing the swap. They asked for photos of the swappers knitting in public and I was brainstorming, trying to come up with a novel idea for a fun photo.

I was driving around town doing errands when inspiration struck. Here is what I posted to the Vegan Pal blog - and if you don't want to click on the link, my photos are here. Inspired by the transients coming through town who sit at intersections waiting for motorists to take pity on them and give them a handout, I sat myself down at an admittedly quiet stop sign with my cardboard sign. Can't imagine WHAT the passing motorists thought of me sitting there with my dear sons taking photos of me!!!

What a fabulous idea. I guess a few people would have thought you had lost it ...but ay it's still a great idea. And to be game enough to sit and have your photo taken.

Nicola, what a hoot! I love your creativity! Vancouver is filled with "these people" and their signs. Yours must have put a smile on a few faces!

Too funny, I love it. At least it was a quiet stop sign so you were not in danger on the side of the road.

Hmmmm. This sign gives me any idea of a gift for you, Nicola. Perhaps this saying on a T-shirt for you? ;o)
