( 1/3 to 1/2 a bar of laundry soap, half a cup each of Borax and washing soda and 32 cups of water)
enough laundry soap to do 64 loads of laundry...all for about the price of a thrifted ball of yarn. ;-)
And Diane, look what I found - I was downstairs, in the spareroom, de-cluttering (trying to avoid the heat) and I came across the box for that doll we were talking about at knitting night. Is this the one that you meant too? She doesn't eat (like I thought) she kisses when you squeeze her leg.

She looks so much like the one I have but mine is named Baby Tender Love and doesn't give kisses. Maybe they are made by the same company. Wow you still have the box!
I plan to make some but where did you get the lovely bottle to hold it in. I don't have anything I could use.
Also, did you just stick in a piece of the bar of soap or did you cut it up small.
Thanks Heather!
One bottle is from my old bio-vert laundry detergent and the other bottle is from my mom's cat food. Actually a bucket or something with a wide mouth is better really because the soap is quite thick when it sets and you need to scoop out a half cup for a load - it doesn't really pour. It makes 32 cups all together so you need something big enough to hold it. Actually you could just do a half batch instead. I just grate the soap and then it dissolves really quickly.
