Here's a close-up of a recently thrifted vintage tablecloth that I decided to refashion. I love vintage tablecloths and this one has a lovely feel to it but unfortunately it also had a couple of tiny holes. Refashioning this beauty meant I got to cut away the holey bits near the edges while retaining the majority of the yardage.I found some red polka dot fabric in my stash which seems to add a bit of zip. Pocket details include vintage ric rac in white and red (love the tiny red!).
A glimpse of the transformation from tablecloth to... apron. Complete with pocket, towel loop and touches of vintage trim.
You might be interested to know that this apron will be included with some other goodies which you will have a chance to win in our upcoming blog giveaway...

Um, hello there Katherine, you don't know me...no, we've never met. My name is uh...Lily, that's right Lily (ooh that name just popped into my head without thinking but I know why) anyway, yes that is my name and I do not know you. My question is how does one go about entering to win that box of goodies that you are giving away. I want me that apron!!
O.k so I'm kidding and I know that I don't get to win it, but that is so cute. WHat a wiz you are, isn't that the tablecloth that you just bought on Saturday?
This is a great idea! Love it!!
